My mom has made these for Santa for a long time. She calls them buttery, sugary, mildly nutty awesomeness
Sarah's Russian Tea Cakes!!!!!!!!!!


Sarah's Russian Teacakes

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes

Total Time: 20-22 minutes

Recipe:

1 cup
softened margarine / butter
1/2 cup
powder sugar
1 tsp.
vanilla
2 1/4 cup
all purpose flour
3/4 cup
nicely chopped nuts
1/4 tsp.
salt
1/4 tsp.
powder sugar
Directions:
heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix margarine, 1/2 cup powder sugar and the vanilla. Stir in flour, nuts, and salt until dough holds together. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place about 1 inch apart on un-greased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown (10-12 minutes).
Roll in powder sugar while warm; cool. Roll in powder sugar again.

* DO NOT USE SELF RISING FLOUR IN THIS RECIPE!

When she was little she, her mom, her brother, and her father used to always made these cookies for Santa. They always had lots of fun.
