This cookie are great. The base of the cookie is church and sticky in the middle of the cookie. A sweet pastry.

1/4
cup of sugar
1 tsp
almond or pure vanilla
2 cup
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1 cup
finely cut nut ( optional)
Kraft preserves you like
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350.Soften the margarine add the sugar until light fluffy.Blend in the extract and add combined flour and salt mix.Shape the dough into ball.Let dough sit for five minutes at room temperature. Take a spoonful of the dough into a small ball press your thumb print down and create a small hole. Use a small spoon to add your preserves. Add one cup of finely chopped nuts to dough or sprinkle on top before you bake. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes when it is light brown.
Mom's Memory:
My mom this cookie when she was a kid and made it for 21 years and she made then for her dad . Those were the first cookie my mom ever made. When my mom little was born she made them for him. But here dad dead.
